Domestic
violence is an issue difficult to address because many individuals do not speak
up about this issue. Domestic violence goes beyond physical abuse (punching, shoving, slapping and chocking); emotional
abuse (excessive jealousy, isolating victim from friends and family), sexual abuse (forced/pressured sexual acts) , and verbal abuse (making victim feel worthless) are also part of domestic violence. This issue may have a negative impact on the perpetrator, victim, and possibly children (if they exist in the household). There are possible
approaches that can be taken to solve this problem. Unless a "Plan to
Action" is taken, many individuals will continue to face domestic
violence; therefore, a plan will be elaborated for those in despair.
